Class 2: LIl Wayne gets acne

I chose a picture to edit from Google images that was of medium size. Lil Wayne is my hero (no joke dont get me started) and hes hott. I started to experiment with Gimp Shop Photo Editing. I learned about the eyedropper, smudge, dodge or burn and stamp tools. I stamped his eyes (gorgeous) on his face to give him acne like stuff.

In class we learned mostly about a bit map (known as JPEG) and compression.
JPEG is an open standard and freely available. It was designed by a consortium of crazy people with a long name.
It best represents human beings (organic matter) which have continuous tone.
It represents different colors w bits (24).
It is not good with abrupt color shifts (text).
There is no transparency and no animation.

OMG a fun new site with animated games and such is animationfactory.com

Compression does exactly what is means only with a pic. If you open a pic Gimp Shop or any photo program, you're never looking at all bits in the system. The jpeg removes bits of repeats.
Compression artifacts are when too much data is tossed out and it cannot reconstruct the pic right (preview an image and change quality to observe). Gif is lossless (there are no artifacts) but still compressed.
